Tamari (Wheat Free) is a traditional whole food made from the liquid that exudes from soybean miso when it ferments. Tamari has a stronger taste and aroma as well as a thick rich texture. It is mainly produced in Aichi Prefecture, central western Japan, and has the same nutritional value as Shoyu. Commercial Tamaris are being made but we feel they do not reflect the taste of our real Traditional Tamari. Our Tamari is made only as soy sauce not from miso.

Spiral foods genuine tamari sauce is a traditional whole food made from the liquid that exudes from soybean miso when it ferments. It is naturally fermented from whole soybeans, water and sea salt. With a stronger flavour and aroma than shoyu, tamari is wheat-free and traditionally used as a cooking sauce. It's rich in amino acids and high in protein.
